One who wraps herself
a three piece collection of leather jewellery (2015)
made from sheep leather, lamb bones, silk fibre

The lamb bones used in the jewellery pieces are by-products, collected at the local butcher down the road. Sheep leather is carefully wrapped around each bone, to embrace and protect it. The pieces are tied together with knots and silk cords, into a collection of three neckpieces.
As fragmented parts of a body, assembled again, the leather bones embody recognizable features of physicality – of animal and human, and raises questions aboout consumption of others.

The One Who Wraps Herself collection was on show at Shelf Life at Vitsoe Showroom, during the Munich Jewellery Week 2016, and at the Silver Schools Exhibition at Legnica Jewellery Festival 2016.
